Cynthia Oguzie, a Nigerian woman aged 30, was reportedly killed when an overhead water tank crashed into her apartment in lekki, lagos.
Oguzie’s lifeless body was shown in what appeared to be a hospital, while additional images showed the collapsed water tank alongside the structure’s devastation.
Numerous Nigerians criticized the developers for alleged negligence and cost-cutting measures at the expense of safety after the incident sparked widespread outrage and grief online.
“Beware of Lekki buildings and their water stands. This is how they sent my sister to her early grave. I am grateful to your engineer and the so-called Lekki landlord for making this kind of water stand”, said a facebook user.
